NTHRA 15, Mechatronics EngineeringAssociation, got inaugurated with a big bang in the coolest ambience of 28.8.15.

The department of Mechatronics engineering is conducting a two day workshop on the topic “labview applications for automation and safety systems” on 25.9.15 and 26.9.15. The inauguration of this workshop was conducted in the seminar hall at 9.00 am. Students from various colleges attended the workshop.
The welcome address was given by Dr.S.Chandravadhana, head, mechatronics engineering. The principal of agni college of technology, Dr.S.R.R.senthil kumar addressed the gathering and said that such workshops will be useful for the students to do projects in their final year.
The Chief guest Mr. Kush tripathi , Co founder & president of education healthcare foundation of India iit madras, presented the guest of honour speech and emphasized on the fire that is needed in young engineers to do something useful for the society. He also said that engineers should have a passion in whatever they do and that is how they can add colours to their branch of study. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Kavya jayakumar.
The First inauguration of Mechatronics namely 2015 was held on 28.8.15 at 9.30 am with the invocation of Tamizh Thai Vazhthu. The students started off with the introduction of their respective departments and it was followed with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.
Dr.S.Chandravadhana, Professor and Head, Department of Mechatronics Engineering, gave the welcome address and it was followed by the secretary address. The association secretaries listed out the events to be conducted for the forthcoming year.
DR.S.R.R.SenthilKumar, Principal, in his inaugural address, stressed on the need to conduct various career development programmes for the students of Mechatronics Engineering.
Dr.R.Rangarajan, Dean (Academics), spoke about the advances in Mechatronics Engineering and encouraged the students to participate in programmes conducted by reputed companies.
The chief guest Mr.Deepan Balasubramanian, Mitsubishi India Ltd, addressed the students and emphasized on learning and skills development. He gave an overall picture of the opportunities available in the field of Mechatronics Engineering.
The event came to an end with the vote of thanks given by Mr.Atheena Milagi Pandian, Asst Professor, Bio Medical Engineering. This was followed by a seminar given by Mr.Veerasudhan, M/s United Oil and Gas Pvt India Ltd. The seminar was very useful for the students in the sense that they came to know about the various automation systems in the industry.
